Information collected automatically
When you visit, standard technical information may be processed, including browser and device details, approximate location derived from an IP address, referring page, pages viewed and interaction timing. Hosting and security systems may also process request logs to operate and protect the site.
Google Analytics
CarbonFitment uses Google Analytics 4 on the production website to understand visits, page navigation and engagement. Google may set or read cookies and process device, browser, network and interaction information under its own terms. You can reduce this measurement with browser privacy controls, content blockers or Google’s Analytics opt-out tools.
Browser storage and events
We use session storage to recognize a meaningful visit within the current browsing session—for example, sufficient visible time plus a scroll or second page. We also measure outbound merchant clicks using fields such as seller, product, SKU, vehicle category and source page. These events are not designed to include your name or email address.
Email and submitted evidence
If you email us or submit fitment evidence, we receive the information you provide, such as your email address, message, photos and product or vehicle details. We use it to respond, evaluate the submission, maintain editorial records and handle corrections. Do not send sensitive personal information.
Merchant and affiliate links
Outbound links take you to third-party websites with their own privacy practices. CarbonFitment’s current merchant source links are direct links. If eligible affiliate links are introduced, the merchant or affiliate network may use cookies or similar identifiers after you follow a link so a purchase can be attributed. Sharing and retention
Information may be processed by service providers that help host, secure, measure or operate the site, and may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety. CarbonFitment does not sell personal information. Information is retained only as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, subject to provider settings and legal obligations.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser, use analytics-blocking tools, avoid outbound links, or ask about information you directly submitted. Some requests may require enough information to locate and verify the relevant record.
Children and policy changes
This site is intended for a general automotive audience and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the site, service providers or legal requirements change; the effective date above identifies the current version.
